This tutorial is for creating an Android application which can send SMS from a Google sheet.

Below are the simplified and quick version of this tutorial:
Pre-requisites:
1. appinventor.mit.edu account
2. Google account
Steps:
- Make a copy of Davagni Sandesh sheet.
- Please note that there are two sheets "SMS" and "Contacts".
- "SMS" sheet will have the formed messages.
- "Contacts" will have the contacts database from where phone numbers will be fetched.
- Column B of "SMS" sheet contains "vlookup" function to auto-fetch contact numbers from "Contacts" sheet.
- Column D of "SMS" sheet contains the concatenated message formed from from other cells's value.
- Fill the data as per below Do's and Dont's:
- Do's
- Can create / insert new rows / columns without any difficulty.
- Can change messages.
- Dont's
- Please don't change sheet names from "SMS" and "Contacts". In case that's needed, please make sure to update in the script as well.
- Please make sure that the "Phone", "Text" and "Status" columns are present in the SMS sheet with the same name. In case changes are needed, please make sure to update in the script as well.
- Now after the values are filled click on Extension -> Appscript.
- Post that Click on "Deploy" -> "New Deployment"
- Give a name in the "Description field". Put "Execute as" -> Me and "Who has access" as "Anyone". and click deploy.
- Now give your authorization using the same Google account.
- If a screen like this comes, click on "Advanced" button.
- Click on the button highlighted below and allow the permissions.
- Copy the "Web App" url
- Now login to appinventor and click on Create apps button.
- It may ask to login.
- After that download Davagni_Sandesh.aia.
- Click on "Project" -> "Import project (.aia) from my computer" and upload Davagni_Sandesh.aia.
- And it will open a screen like below. Click on "Blocks" button
- Scroll to the top and replace the URL highlighted with the Google Web App URL copied earlier.
- Now click on "Build" and "Android App (.apk)".
- It will start compiling
- After compilation is complete Download the app.
How to use The Davagni Sandesh App
Step 1: Open the App
Step 2: Click on the “Fetch SMS” Button
Step 3: Wait for the messages to load.
Step 4: After the messages are fetched. Click on “Send SMS” button.
